SEREN METCALFE

Seren Metcalfe (b.1997, York) is a Multidisciplinary Artist and Writer based in London. She
graduated from The Slade School of Art in 2020 with a BA in Fine Art. Her practice spans Performance, Moving Image, Installation, Painting, Sculpture, and Text.

She attempts to create honest imagery that blurs the lines between fictional narratives and the poetic reality of being human. Combining themes of Time, Television, and Technology to question societal structures and the theatrics of everyday existence. Commonly using the body as a tool to question these ideologies with inspiration from Yorkshire Landscapes, Urban architecture, and Pop Culture.

Seren has shown work in 20+ Exhibitions around the UK and is the Founder of The Working Class Creatives Database. She is against the inaccessible language of academia and strivesfor Art to be for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
